    Product Owner

    Job description

    Babylonstoren is looking for a solutions-driven, detail-oriented Product Owner. You will need to support the in-house development team in the execution of their daily tasks and actively help formulate solutions for our multiple E-commerce platforms.

    • Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English

    • Be considerate of the implications of your work, really care about what you are doing and the impact of your contribution
    • At least 2 years' experience as a product owner or business analyst
    • Be able to demonstrate your innovation and problem-solving skills

    The daily work:

    • Work closely with E-commerce manager to support sales, marketing, and customer services to solve day to day business process and systems problems
    • Document & translate requirements into user stories, workflows, wireframes and data models
    • Work closely with development team to ensure delivery of tasks and projects and assist team with addressing any issues / impediments that are preventing them from successfully completing their tasks
    • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings and maximize team productivity
    • Prioritisation and planning of backlogs / demand pipelines & product roadmaps
    • Give and receive product direction
    • Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of new and existing software / application solutions
    • Provide insights and analysis to help key business functions reach their primary goals
    • Assist with administering communications and marketing automation systems
    • Collect, compile and analyze customer intelligence
    • Conduct miscellaneous research and assist with project administration

    The nice-to-haves:

    • Experience in Google Analytics
    • An understanding of UX
    • An understanding of SEO, online marketing strategies and conversion optimisation
    • Experience in creating and developing a product vision for new and existing teams
    • Experience in E-commerce
