BPS World are working in partnership with a leading specialist construction contractor to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a well-established team. The main purpose of this role will be to; deliver effective, efficient, responsive procurement services. You are required to meet quality, time and performance measurements related directly to project activities.

Responsibilities will include;

• Set up and contribute to procurement strategy on projects
• Execute Tender processes to maximise competitiveness and efficiencies
• Ensure Orders and Subcontracts are requisitioned, approved and placed with their suppliers, in order to deliver services on our projects which provide the up most best value, minimise risks and exposure with the appropriate terms and conditions as well as manage the supply chain process
• Hit agreed objectives for the department, project and the company itself
• To ensure Orders and Subcontracts are requisitioned, approved and placed with our suppliers

Experience;

• Candidate must be able to provide evidence of a strong track record of delivering for money through substantial procurement projects
• Possess a clear understanding of procurement regulations
• Experienced in purchasing within a construction contracting environment
• Demonstrable experience of an ERP system such as Sage or SAP
• Demonstrable experience in supply chain management and improvement (subcontractors and suppliers) Flexible in their approach recognising that the demands and priorities of a dynamic purchasing function may change on a daily basis
