The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall design of the applications and mapping the business requirements to systems and technical requirements.

the Business Solutions Architect role creates the capability for a seamless transition of applications from those enabling the IT Transformation project to succeed and deliver the agreed business benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the terms of Reference, act as the overall lead and Chair of the Business Solution Design Authority
• Review and analyze current business drivers and corporate objectives
• Support the development of external business drivers, internal and external business cases and high-level program implementation plans
• Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and architectures necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives
• Partner with specific product specialists to identify and collect detailed technical requirements assess and provide feedback/recommendations
• Develop conceptual solution architecture using combinations of Sapiens solution elements and client/third party suppliers where appropriate to produce end to end customer solutions
• Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executives and stakeholders
• Partner with finance and legal organizations to ensure all elements of proposed solutions are accounted for and within corporate guidelines
• Coordinate efforts across Sapiens support/product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solution
• Support the client organization throughout the solution design process
• Produce a detailed functional design document to match business requirements
• Undertake requirements traceability
• Identify business-specific IT application dependencies and the coexistence of these applications
• Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Enterprise Architecture Team
• Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design
• The Solutions Architect role will oversee and ensure the formalization, prioritization and timely fulfillment of an application's configuration database
• Deliver training design and documentation and support delivery of projects
• Interface with Programme and Portfolio Management on a regular basis
• Lead, when required, meetings with the business
• Participate in projects as required

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with 7+ years’ experience in IT Enterprise Solution Architecture
• Experience within the Insurance/Financial Sector a MUST
• Demonstrable architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT-based products and services
• Experience of engaging partners and team members at all levels of the organization
• Experience of conflict resolution when Business and IT demands cannot simply be reconciled
• Involved with complex professional relationships up to and including Senior Stakeholders
• Experience of business planning processes
• Experience of web technologies and services
• Experience of Telephony Integration
• Experience of Financial transaction processing
