Cloud Engineer at RSAWEB

Job description

The primary role will be to assist in developing and managing our Cloud infrastructure environments in our Datacentres in Cape Town and Johannesburg. In addition you will be assisting the team in monitoring, managing and supporting our Cloud infrastructure services.

You will be a part of our Cloud team and will report to our Cloud Engineering Manager. You will collaborate internally with our Service Desk, Development and Network teams, and externally with third party vendors and customers.

Minimum requirements

• BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent 3 years of work experience
• Familiarity with Linux and Web Hosting platforms (e.g. LAMP)
• Basic Python/Perl or Bash proficiency
• Familiarity with SAN storage, Virtualisation and Orchestration technologies preferred
• VMware certified professional or equivalent working experience required
• Experience with VMware , vSphere, vCloud Director, NetApp, Solidfire and Veeam

Responsibilities

• Proactive infrastructure, platform and system monitoring, maintenance and management
• Troubleshooting and resolving support issues on our Cloud and for customer systems
• Research, design and testing of potential new Cloud technologies
• Installation, configuration and integration of our Cloud products
• Managing and provisioning our Cloud infrastructure products
