Job Description

My client has a profitable and sustainable mining operation with a safe working environment, reputable performance management system and solid people development strategy. They are currently seeking to employ an experienced Treasury Manager for their business.
 
Responsibilities:

• Review and develop financial models on investment and funding, whilst also developing the cost effective funding strategies of the Company through various financial instruments.
• Advise on the risk management strategy, developing hedging strategies, manage currency and interest rate risk and advising on foreign exchange transactions.
• Establish banking relationships, networking with Investment and Merchant banks and other local and international banks and multilateral agencies.
• Ensure that an optimized team structure is in place, with employees motivated, empowered and technically sound.
• The incumbent will engage the team through performance management and sound leadership practices.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Accounting/ Investment Degree
• Treasury Management experience (Working Capital Management and Financial Risk Management) at Corporate Finance.
• Minimum requirement is 10 years strategic and operational financial/ commercial management experience.
• Experience in Investment Management is required.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of investment legislation, investment portfolio strategy, understanding of financial principles, banking and financial instruments.
• Business acumen with customer focus
• Good networking skills
• High levels of computer skills are needed in this position.
