My client has a profitable and sustainable mining operation with a safe working environment, reputable performance management system and solid people development strategy. They are currently seeking to employ an experienced Treasury Manager for their business.
 
Responsibilities:

• Review and develop financial models on investment and funding, whilst also developing the cost effective funding strategies of the Company through various financial instruments.
• Advise on the risk management strategy, developing hedging strategies, manage currency and interest rate risk and advising on foreign exchange transactions.
• Establish banking relationships, networking with Investment and Merchant banks and other local and international banks and multilateral agencies.
• Ensure that an optimized team structure is in place, with employees motivated, empowered and technically sound.
• The incumbent will engage the team through performance management and sound leadership practices.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Accounting/ Investment Degree
• Treasury Management experience (Working Capital Management and Financial Risk Management) at Corporate Finance.
• Minimum requirement is 10 years strategic and operational financial/ commercial management experience.
• Experience in Investment Management is required.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of investment legislation, investment portfolio strategy, understanding of financial principles, banking and financial instruments.
• Business acumen with customer focus
• Good networking skills
• High levels of computer skills are needed in this position.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Packing & consigning of all the fruit grown on the estate plus fruit supplied by outside growers.
• All aspects of management of a Pack house, staff, production and technical operations.
• Management of technically advanced packing machinery & cold-room equipment (knowledge of Compac Packing Lines & Spectrim Camera Technology would be advantageous).
• Actively participate /coordinate in any activities and due diligence audits in light with the HACCP plan and as an active member of the HACCP team. Also ensuring meeting international food safety standards and quality management requirements.
• Process flow and maintenance of production systems.
• Marketing of local & factory grade fruit.
• Liaison with Export Market Agents – must also have an understanding of overseas markets and seasonal pricing.
• Human resources management experience of a labor force of between 50 – 100 units.
• Management of crop estimates of own plus outside growers.
• Management of pack house material suppliers including price negotiations with key carton manufacturers.
• Compilation of annual budgets.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• At least 5 years’ experience in the packing industry (preferably avocados / citrus).
• Computer literacy
• Relevant degree or diploma

Knowledge of:

• BRC (British Retailing Council)

• SIZA /SMETA
• Excellent interpersonal skills
