An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced aviation professional (ideally someone with a commercial pilot's licence and operations experience) to take up the position of Operations Manager at Resilience Aviation. We hold a Part 135 and 121 South African AOC.

Our Operations Manager will fill the post of Responsible Person Flight Operations and must have great communication skills and be ready to contribute to the running and shaping of Resilience Aviation’s business (together with our MD and the rest of the team).

This role involves :

• Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of Resilience Aviation.
• Responsible for the overall discipline, welfare and morale of flight and cabin crew members.
• Supervision of general administration and for the efficient functioning of the flight department as a whole.
• Ensure that all operational irregularities and accident reports are properly investigated, resolved and actioned as necessary. He/she will also address items of operational significance brought to his attention by other staff members.
• Responsible for determining flight crew establishments and the associated training programs necessary to meet present and future operational requirements.
• Ensure the optimum use of flight crew resources under his/her control.
• Ensure in conjunction with the Chief Pilot and Training Captain the maintenance of proper records regarding flight operations in general and the proficiency of individual flight crew members in particular.
• Serve as a permanent member of the Safety Committee.
• Empower and motivate flight Operations team members. He/she is to ensure that effective communication and assistance channels are maintained with contract bases at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients at flight operation bases.
• Ensure effective communications between operations and all other departments.
• Ensure that operational procedures and documentation is continuously updated and distributed.
• Responsible for the co-ordination and control of operation training and the maintenance of records for each operations staff member.
• Ensure that flight operations facilities are established on all bases for the effective control of operational requirements.
• Provide assistance to the finance department with the monthly consolidation of aircraft hours and aircraft utilisation invoices.
