    Manager, Business Optimisation

    The Diocesan School for Girls, situated in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, invites applications for a Dance Internship.

    We are looking for a self-motivated young woman who would like to join our intern programme in 2018.

    We therefore invite applications from women who are under the age of 25 who:

    Intend becoming a dance teacher
    Would like to be mentored by a professional teacher in this regard

    We offer classes in ballet and modern dance to pupils from 6 years to 18 years in a well-appointed studio and prepare them for the examinations of the AIDT and the Royal Academy of Dance.

    As well as this, the pupils present various performances during the year.

    The following will form part of the internship programme:

    • Board and lodging
    • A small stipend
    • Practical experience in teaching

    The successful candidates will be required to:
    work closely with the ballet teacher in the studio for an average of 25 hours per week assist with boarding house duties and extramural activities

    Applications, accompanied by a Curriculum Vitae and the names of three contactable referees, must be submitted by 14 September 2017 to Mrs Angela Southey at The Diocesan School for Girls.

    • To govern, set standards and provide guidelines for Business Optimisation function
    • Custodian of operational excellence programme
    • Drive tactical optimisation to unlock inter-operational opportunities
    • Encourage knowledge sharing and duplication of improvement and innovation opportunities between BU's.

    Qualifications:

    • Master of Business Administration ( Recommended/Desirable )
    • B Eng (Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum )
    • Management Development Programme ( Essential/Minimum )
    • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt ( Recommended/Desirable )

    Requirements:

    • 10 years relevant job-specific experience.
    • Successfully managed a Business improvement or optimisation programme, preferable in a mining /resources environment.
    • Business improvement- or Business excellence, economical evaluations, improvement methodologies (LSS and TOC)

    These appointments will be made in accordance to Exxaro's EE policy.
