A vacancy exists at the offices of Ripe for You in Germiston for a suitably qualified and experienced

Operations Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Ripe for You pre-packing facility in Germiston ensuring all necessary procedures and protocols are adhered to thereby ensuring that the facility operates at minimum costs and that customer satisfaction is maintained at all times. This includes all fruit procurement, production planning, packing, monitoring of the packing process and management of subordinate staff and the overall financial performance of the facility.

Position Specifications:

• 3 year degree in Agriculture Management; Commerce or Marketing.
• 5 years management experience in pre packing / pack houses
• Sound working knowledge of ERP system, i.e. AX
• HACCP Course
• Fully computer Literate (MS Office)

Person Requirements:

• Must be able to lead a team
• Fully bilingual and conversant in the English language, excellent communicator.
• Good interpersonal relationship skills
• Must be able to give meticulous attention to detail
• Must be able to maintain good customer relations
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Must be able to stay focused
