Client Services Representative at ALS

About the Position

The position is responsible for liaising with clients, branch laboratories across the Sub Sahara Africa region and ensuring feedback to queries is given within acceptable time frames. The position will report to the Client Services Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with technical information relating to the analysis of samples;
• Respond to queries regarding statements and invoices;
• Prepare and send pro forma invoices upon request;
• Follow up and respond to turnaround time queries;
• Respond to general client queries;
• Coordinate with shipping regarding samples to be sent to other laboratories and samples to be returned to the client;
• Preparing quotations based on client requirements and making technical recommendations to clients as and when required;
• Setup client profile templates;
• Conduct client surveys.

About you

The ideal candidate would have the following requirements:

• Must be fully computer literate – MS Word and MS Excel;
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written - English;
• Excellent telephonic etiquette;
• Able to work well under pressure, prioritize and give timeous feedback;
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a commercial minerals analytical laboratory and / or a tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry (or related field) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years hands- on experience in chemical analysis (AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, and classical assaying techniques).
