Job description

We are looking for both junior and senior developers. There is a fair amount of overlap in the roles. What would differentiate a junior and senior developer in our eyes is

• a proven track-record of successful projects that are more than just pretty CRUD
• experience with a large cross section of the technologies and techniques mentioned below

Technologies in use:

• Python2.7 (Pyramid framework)
• Google App engine and compute engine
• Google Datastore and BigQuery
• Gitlab
• Vault
• docker
• selenium

Responsibilities:

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to our internal standards and conventions, and general best practices
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
• Maintain technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
• Critique current code base and take part in code review process
• Implement security and data protection
• Integrate with e commerce software platforms (eg: Shopify)

Our ideal candidate:

• Excellent communication skills and organizational savvy
• BS in Computer Science or similar technical field
• Experience in  or some other high level language
• Experience in our other core technologies
• experience in security in financial applications preferred
• Experience in OO design is very useful
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
