Job Purpose
Overseeing and managing all operations relating to:
The delivery of Nedbank’s Transformation Strategy and monitoring execution to comply with the relevant B-BBEE legislation and ensure that the bank remains at the forefront of transformation.
The design, facilitation and co-creation of GMCCA’s Cluster strategy and business plan including various projects and reporting to track execution.
Job Responsibilities
Technical and subject matter expert around the relevant B-BBEE legislation i.e. Financial Sector Code, DTI Codes of Good Practice and other related B-BBEE legislation.
Educating and informing of developments on the Financial Sector Code and other industry-related issues.
Detailed understanding of the process to produce the Group and Cluster scorecards on a monthly basis including the Transformation cost-benefit model.
Managing the agreement and delivery of Group and Cluster Targets. Understanding actuals achieved to targets to identify business needs or areas of assistance to be able to add value and maximize the scorecard. If targets are not met, identify cause and facilitate the development of corrective action.
Managing internal reporting to various committees within the bank e.g. CEO’s pack, Group EXCO, TRAHRCO, GTSEC, Opcom, NEEF, Group Transformation Forum, Group Procurement Council, Socio-economic Development Forum etc. And ensure require standards of delivery are met.
Attendee to relevant committee meetings as required ensuring representation from the Group Transformation Unit.
Managing the responses to external questionnaires and surveys e.g. FSC Council, AFDB, NCR, KPMG, Empowerdex etc.
Stakeholder engagement to create and drive the development of projects and assist in implementation while ensuring alignment to related B-BBEE legislation.
Managing strategic Transformation Work streams to ensure that all agreed outcomes are achieved.
Managing the annual B-BBEE audit to ensure successful completion.
Managing the operationalizing of the automated B-BBEE system including scenario planning capability and ensure that legislative changes are updated.
Managing the transformation scorecard scenarios required for the annual business planning process.
Engaging other institutions and key external stakeholders around best practice in Transformation with a view to identifying opportunities and keeping up to date with Transformation trends.
Managing media and sponsorship opportunities with a view to creating a positive reputation and image for Nedbank.
Designing, facilitating and co-creating the strategy and business plan of the GMCCA Cluster.
Identifying trends and strategic insights for the business planning process thereby providing thought leadership to the broader GMCCA team.
Researching of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs through media scanning and competitor analysis e.g. creation of reports around banks results analysis, Budget Speech etc.
Coordinating and delivering key strategic events within GMCCA e.g. Strategy Kickoff Event, Business Planning Event, Cluster Quarterly Reviews.
Managing and compiling the monthly GMCCA Opcom report including the tracking of management actions.
Managing and compiling the GMCCA Cluster Executive’s Balanced Scorecard in line with Group’s requirements.
Co-ordinate and deliver key activities from the GMCCA Strategy Forum.
Dealing with ad hoc requests from Group Strategy and involvement in Group Annual Reporting e.g. Transformation, Integrated and Sustainability Report.
Create and maintain a process in the team for environmental scanning.
Managing the team.

Drafting reports and checking accuracy of reports and records.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Law or Other
Minimum Experience Level
Minimum 5 - 7 years from a BEE/Financial Services perspective. At least 5 years of strategic planning or similar.
