Company

This year, Enza Zaden is going to launch a new company in South Africa, which will distribute the seeds among our customers and work closely together with the vegetable chain on marketing and product development.

What are you going to do?

As a Sales Representative you will be responsible for marketing and sales of Enza Zaden cultivars, product development, account management and customer support in a demarcated area in South Africa. You will service the growers and seedling propagators with regular visits, optimize the sales of our hybrid vegetable seeds and ensure a smooth process of ordering and delivery. Furthermore, you will monitor and supervise the nursing of our varieties and know which variety fits best to the requirements of the chain.

 Together with your colleagues, you report to the area manager for North, Central or South. You report on sales, market and product developments. You travel extensively by car within your area and do your administrative duties from your residence.

As an Enza Zaden sales representative, you are highly self-motivated and will maintain and develop relationships to build lasting customer ties through your knowledge and passion for horticulture. You take initiative and can work independently as well as in a team. You have excellent communication skills and your administration is well organized. You are success driven and thrive on the challenge of growth and sales. You have a thorough knowledge of horticultural crops and markets in South Africa, and you are familiar with cultivation techniques and farm management. With your sales & technical skill you will unlock the market and production potential of prime hybrid vegetable seeds. 

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture with at least 3 year experience in vegetable seed sales
• Intimate knowledge of the area: the customers, crops & cultivars, cultivation methods and climatic and other challenges
• Ability to close a deal
• Able and willing to conduct, manage and evaluate cultivar trials
• Experience with MS Office
• Valid driving license
