Introduction

The Dams, Hydropower & Underground Sector is looking for a qualified, experienced professional to complement their team, in the form of a Chief Draughtsperson, on the the Polihali Dam project in Maseru (Lesotho)

Specification

The Chief Draughtsman will be required to effectively manage the Draughts team ensuring that deadlines are met and work is distributed effectively within the draughting team. He will oversee work produced and ensure work is completed within the recommended standards for the project. Revise drawings based on engineering mark-ups. He will also liaise with, and provide support to, the Senior Engineers regarding drawings as well as having regular meetings with the management teams.

• Successfully manage a small team
• Ensure compliance with QMS
• Mentor juniors
• Operate CAD and/or computer design programs
• Produce technical drawings for draughting, detailing and design using CAD
• Resolve minor site design related problems
• Develop CAD tools and standards for work
• Successfully apply CAD standards and ensure adherence thereto
• Manage workload allocation and review
• Measure and prepare bill of quantities

Requirements

• Draughting qualification and registration
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• 10 years + experience

TECHNICAL test will be admistrated to determine competancy level
