Training and Support Consultant (Geologist / Mining Software / Training / Client Support) at CA Global

Job Description:

An International company specializing in mining software is looking to hire a Training and Support Consultant to join their team in Johannesburg. They are looking for an individual that thrives in offering an exceptional client experience when it comes to resolving user technical issues and queries and is passionate about providing technical pre-sales support and training.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide training to current and new software users, both in-house and externally
• Support users with current maintenance agreements via phone, email and face-to-face
• Document significant support issues in the company CRM and report to relevant area
• Assist product development team and users during software development cycle
• Demonstrate the software on request such as; during technical pre-sales and promotional events
• Travel (across Africa) to client sites and other company offices as requires

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree in Geology
• 2-5 years’ experience in an operational, exploration or mining environment
• Recent experience in providing help desk support and client training
• Experience in successful soliciting of client requirements
• IT proficient in mining software is desirable
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem solving and decision making ability and good interpersonal skills
