    Procurement Operations Lead (Uitenhage, Port Elizabeth / Manufacturing / Senior Buyer / EE)

    Client Description:

    A leading multinational tire manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity which will be based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Our client manufactures tires for automobiles, commercial trucks, light trucks, motorcycles, SUVs, race cars, airplanes, farm equipment and heavy earth-mover machinery.
     
    Job:

    Serves as first point of contact for suppliers related to category of spend. Supports Procurement Operations Leads with strategic supplier relationships through data-driven recommendations. At their level, ensures appropriate collaborative communication is occurring between strategic sourcing teams and shared services transactional teams.     

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Partners with local procurement operations leadership to execute strategy at the regional/local level.     
    • Responsible for feedback and process improvement for all e-sourcing activities.
    • Also accountable for compliance management.      
    • Supports Commercial Council through appropriate communication channels (informing and requesting feedback).
    • Accountable for meeting aspirational training goals for 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process and Enhanced Sourcing Tools.
    • Serves as first point of contact for suppliers related to category of spend.   

    Qualifications & Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
    • Min 3 years of experience in a corporate setting required.
    • Prior experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or a related Operational function.
    • Fundamental knowledge of business processes.
    • Strong financial/statistical analysis, manufacturing processes, purchasing & technical experience
    • Strong Microsoft Access/Excel skills and/or other database programs.
    • Team player, strong communication skills, influence skills, self-directing, and ability to work in a very fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and lead improvement projects to avoid repeating the failures. (RCFA / FI).
    • Lead and drive the Reliability actions to support DOR in the HPT.
    • Management and drive the action plans of failure analysis (RCFA).
    • Support Plant Optimization.
    • Analyze the maintenance KPI's from MTTR, MTBF, Breakdown and define and drive the actions to improve results. (ACM).
    • Develop improvements in machines using FI concepts of Big losses, keeping the list of projects and priorities for improvement of its updated area.
    • Oversee the asset during its existence eliminating obsolescence and the natural deterioration of the equipment within the capital management. (Cp)
    • Participate in the intervention of catastrophic failures, taking the lead when appropriate for larger issues, and make the reporter of these failures, keep Updates and follow up.
    • Management action plans of failure analysis (RCA).
    • Analyze the reports from the Predictive tools and define actions. (ACM).
    • Drive the planning and execution of postage service their area of responsibility.
    • Keeping active operational functions as specified performance standards (Rcm / Re). Responsible for understanding how assets fail and its impacts establishing plans / proactive tasks. (FMEA). ABC curve of Assets (Ca)
    • Lead benchmarking (good practice, Technological Update and Contact with other plants).
    • Lead and drive compliance for CTI`s, MSR`s, GMS, Rules and legislation in the HPT's area of responsibility. Support external and internal audits.
    • Drive the planning and execution big jobs at their area of responsibility

    Qualifications & Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in maintenance and/or engineering
    • Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Zero Loss Concept / Total Productive Maintenance / Lean environment
    • Strong background and thorough understanding of maintenance systems and manufacturing equipment
    • Technical background in Scheduling and planning, computerized layouts, capital estimating, etc.
    • Strong customer focus, both internal and external
    • Solid background in safety and project management
    • Strong Problem solving skills and mentality
    • Courageous and willing to make decisions
    • Collaborative style and ability to influence

    Remuneration and Benefits Manager (Benefits / Remuneration / Payroll / Tax Submissions / Wages / Salaries / Legislation / SAP /

    Job Description:

    Manage the remuneration and benefits team and ensure that employees and relevant third parties are accurately and timeously paid according to a contractual agreement and specified procedures and legislation. It is a Group role to be in charge of the Africa Division of the Company. They will head the payroll team and report directly into the Group HR Director.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the remuneration of all employees and limited duration contractors.
    • Ensure accurate and timely salary/wages payments
    • Budgeting for the different Business Units ito Salaries
    • Ensure compliance on policies and applicable laws
    • Stay abreast and implement changes in legislation
    • Manage effective completion bi-annual and annual tax submissions for Group
    • Critically review and analyse current remuneration, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
    • Enhancements and improvements - Ensure proper maintenance of system and data integrity
    • Interpreting Bargaining Council Main Agreements
    • Lead and ensure development of the HR Remuneration team
    • Perform remuneration and benefits market surveys and recommend EVP for the Group
    • Review and coordinate Patterson salary ranges in line with market surveys

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Minimum of 5 years in a remuneration and benefits role with at least 3 years in payroll supervision
    • HR and Finance qualification
    • Advanced knowledge of risk management and tax and legislative environment.
    • Good understanding of how finance and benefits integrate
    • SAP Payroll Operation or Management experience essential

They are looking for an individual that thrives in offering an exceptional client experience when it comes to resolving user technical issues and queries and is passionate about providing technical pre-sales support and training.

    • Provide training to current and new software users, both in-house and externally
