Our client is a South African registered holding company of a diverse group of agricultural companies and partnerships which comprehensively serve the citrus and subtropical value chain, including products and services related to establishing intellectual property (citrus and other fruit types), laboratory facilities, nurseries, farming and packing, fruit marketing and branding activities. Most of their businesses hold leading market positions.

Job Description:

Dynamic individual with attention to detail and good people and management skills to drive production targets in pack houses with a focus on quality.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• HR: Lead a team of supervisors and employees to pack and process fruit with high efficiency and according to quality specifications; Manage all disciplinary and motivating models for staff reporting to the position; Recruit and appoint necessary staff; Statutory requirements in terms of labour laws.
• Production: Scheduling of pack runs; organizing to maximize efficiency; Stock rotation management; Maintenance management.
• Logistics: Manage logistics with regards to production in Packing and processing facilities.

Requirements:

• Degree/HND in an agricultural, horticultural, land or related subject.
• 7 - 10 years’ experience within a similar environment (Senior Level Farm Management)
• Knowledge and experience working in a pack house.
• Strong Admin, Financial, Organisational and Management Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Global Standards beneficial (Fruit)
• Technical knowledge (Fruit Farm Management)
