Our client is a South African registered holding company of a diverse group of agricultural companies and partnerships which comprehensively serve the citrus and subtropical value chain, including products and services related to establishing intellectual property (citrus and other fruit types), laboratory facilities, nurseries, farming and packing, fruit marketing and branding activities. Most of their businesses hold leading market positions.
 
Job Description:

Dynamic individual with attention to detail and good people and management skills
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• HR: Lead a team of supervisors and employees to produce and harvest high yields of good quality subtropical fruit including Avocado, Granadilla etc.; Manage all disciplinary and motivating models for staff; Recruit and appoint necessary staff; Statutory requirements.
• Production: Irrigation management; Fertilizer application management; Spraying Application management; Oversee pruning
• Logistics: All logistics to implement production requirements; Harvesting

Requirements:

• Degree/HND in an agricultural, horticultural, land or related subject.
• 7 - 10 years’ experience within a similar environment (Senior Level Farm Management)
• Knowledge and experience working in a Subtropical Fruit environment. 
• Strong Admin, Financial, Organisational and Management Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Global Standards beneficial (Fruit)
• Technical knowledge (Fruit Farm Management)
