    Cheif Information Officer, Systems and InformationN Division

    Job description

    (Annual total cost to company package of R 1 359 584, negotiable commensurate with experience)

    Please note that this position is available on a five year fixed term contract

    Minimum Requirements

    The Chief Information Officer leads and manages the Systems and Information Division in respect of all information resources and systems in the Competition Commission, including information management and communication technology infrastructure, case registry, information systems, knowledge management, document control, facilities management and all aspects of security. The incumbent will report to the Commissioner and participate in key decision making structures of the institution including the Executive Committee.

    • The position is multidisciplinary and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any of the relevant fields will be considered. A management qualification will be an added advantage.
    • At least 10 years' working experience in any of the relevant areas, 5 years of which must have been in a management role;
    • A background in managing a multidisciplinary team will be an added advantage.
