Job Purpose
- Provides product and solution design during the bid phase
- Maintain and develop technical expertise
- Participate and contribute to the subject matter expert community
- Lead and contribute to implementation and migration projects
Responsibilities
- Provides product and solution design during the bid phase
- Responsible for system design for a specific customer solutions
- Support account teams with solution architecture and sizing during the bid phase
- Work with country pre-sales and sales teams to understand customer requirements and how to translate this into technical requirements
- Develop, publish and promote HDS best practices.
- Support demo’s and proof of concepts.
- Maintain and develop technical expertise
- Build and Maintain deep technical understanding of the HDS product and services portfolio
- Study industry papers, media articles, analyst reports and other publications to maintain up to date knowledge on competitive offerings, how they are positioned and how HDS can best compete.
- Work with EMEA Solution Expert and Solutions Lead to provide input to the HDS Academy to develop and improve education
- Support demo’s and proof of concepts.
- Provide guidance on appropriate GSS and partners services required to build a full solution.
- Help the regional sales and pre-sales teams to identify architectural and commercial risks.
- Participate and contribute to the subject matter expert community
- Participate in regular communication including telephone and web conferences and face to face meetings
- Contribute to knowledge groups within the HDS internal knowledge management databases
- Support external HDS community portal
- Provide input to build guides and develop best practices
- Lead and contribute implementation and migration projects
- Maintain and develop hands on experience
- Lead and contribute to implementation projects using appropriate tools, define delivery and manage mile stone achievement, according to Hitachi quality standards and values
- Provide on-site consultancy to the customer as part of implementation and migration project
Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on and consultancy experience in the IT Industry, focused for solutions.
