DuPont Cape Town Manufacturing Plant is looking for a General Worker. The incumbent should be target driven, energetic and Safety conscious.

Operational Deliverables (key Tasks)

• Executing and checking of a Process Instructions
• Understanding of raw material checking & picking
• Understanding weighing procedures
• Forklift skills advantages
• Reporting on deviations
• Operating skills advantages
• Ability to spot & report deviations in production or warehouse
• Ability to understand & execute the standard operating procedures of the company
• Ability to clean equipment and good hygiene standards
• Good attendance

Food Safety Responsibility

• Adhere to all Food Safety requirements
• Ability to understand what is a food safety deviation
• Ability to know the basic food safety requirements
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing processes within production & warehouse
• Follow all handling, storage and processing instruction as per best practices to avoid contamination or deterioration of materials
• Follow all standard operating procedures of the company

Safety, Environmental Safety Requirements

• Good understanding of company safety standards
• Conduct all operations in a safe manner as per operational procedures
• Participate in all safety and emergency drills
• Stopping any unsafe act
• Never engaging in any unsafety act
• Reporting any safety near miss & incidents
• Reporting on any environmental near miss & incidents
• Always upholding and adhering to the company’s core values

Requirements: (qualifications and experience)

• Min of Matric,
• Min 3 years’ experience in production environment advantages
• Good understanding of English (written and spoken)
• Good numeracy skills
• Any production related skills within a dry blending facility advantages
• Good hygiene standards
