Job description

EC is looking for a creative, innovative and experienced graphic designer to join this dynamic software consultancy company. As a graphic designer you will work with our internal marketing team to build EC's brand in the market, through above- and below the line marketing activities. Some of these activities include: Design for Web, CI formulation and iteration, brochure design, infographic design, video marketing, social marketing, event marketing and more.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Meet with the marketing team to determine the scope of a project
• Advise on strategies to reach a particular audience
• Determine the message the design should portray
• Create images that convey the chosen message
• Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, websites, social channels, mailers, events and more
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout
• Present the design to the marketing team for review and refinement
• Keep up with up to date design trends

Essential Requirements

Design Skills:

• Minimum 3yrs of experience
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
• Ability to collaborate with a team
• Experience with mobile and responsive web design patterns
• Interface and interaction design
• Typography skills
• Photoshop and Illustrator skills

Technical Knowledge:

Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3

Qualifications:

• A current portfolio that reflects a strong understanding of your design capability
• Degree or diploma in design / visual communication / similar (Preferably from a design focussed school)
