Job description

Minimum requirements:

• Bilingual with first-language Afrikaans (non-negotiable)
• 5 years working on GDS in a travel agency as a consultant.
• 2 years minimum in a senior position doing all international routes.
• 2 years minimum in ticketing providing a sound understanding and knowledge of the fares / ticketing.

The ideal candidate must meet the folloing criteria:

• This position will require you to provide support to guests and internal booking agents with any query they may have.
• Provide the highest level of service to the Company's clients, as well as internal booking agents.
• Be able to converse with, and advise management on client feedback;
• Must be flexible, and a team player.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Afrikaans and English.
• Must have the ability to work independently, with strong organisational- and administrative skills, attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
• Must have the ability to prioritise work load according to the most urgent flight- and travel requests.
• Must have experience in quoting, confirming and changing domestic-, regional- and international flights on the Galileo Smartpoint system.
• Have an excellent understanding of airline terms and travel industry knowledge.
• Must be able to issue tickets.
• Must be able to do refunds and cancellations.
• Must be able to do manual fair builds.
• Must be in possession of a Galileo Certificate.
• Must have an extensive knowledge of Galileo.
• Must have strong computer skill (Windows 10, MS office etc.)
