    Manager Outbound Logistics Engineering

    Job description

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Finding innovative cost saving solutions to meet annual cost reduction targets
    • Re-engineering of flows to improve Time, Cost and Quality
    • Support Regional vehicle logistics projects
    • Lead RFQ Projects

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering and/or SimilaR
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Logistics Engineering Environment
    • 2 years People Management experience

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Outbound Logistics Supply Chain Engineering:
      • Continuously identify improvements, raise and manage the required projects to realize the improvements
      • Supply Chain Re-engineering
      • Managing Tenders and Contracts
      • Support the Logistics Budgeting process
      • Liaison with NSA, Alliance and AMI Logistics teams and initiate cost reduction
      • Outbound Logistics information systems development
      • Liaising with Service providers
    • Project Management:
      • Ensuring that Project delivery is achieved in-line with customer expectations
      • Managing various projects at a given time
    • Strategy:
      • Benchmarking with other Nissan and Renault Logistics engineering entities
      • Use Supply Chain Strategy Pillars to improve Quality, Cost, Time and Delivery
      • Continuous improvements
    • People Management:
      • Manage a diverse group of people that form part of various project teams
      • Motivate and drive the team to deliver the Project objectives
    • Stakeholder Management

    CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

    • Self- motivated with proven ability in the application of problem solving skills for root cause analysis and concern resolutioN
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills for leadership in cross-functional teams, internal reporting at all levels
    • Knowledge and understanding Supply Chain Engineering
    • Project management and Budgeting Skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of Tendering Process (RFQ)
    • Knowledge and understanding of Customs, Carrier and Port & Rail operations
