Overview

PEG is currently seeking an experienced Financial Modeler and Business Analyst to support our growing utility scale solar PV development team. The Financial Modeler and Business Analyst will be responsible for generating initial financial forecast models to assess the viability of solar PV projects across international markets, with a focus on the EMEA region. Following initial project assessment, emphasis will shift to refining the financial models in greater detail and reporting to stakeholders on material issues. A combination of business and finance skills, coupled with a flair for complex spreadsheets is essential.

Primary Accountabilities:

The Financial Modeler and Business Analyst’s primary responsibilities include, but is not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain financial models for the various local and international regions;
• Manage and evaluate financial models for the various local and international regions;
• Research various market funding costs and banking solutions;
• Implement various banking solutions;
• Prepare various models to evaluate project feasibility, desirability, and competitiveness for bid submissions;
• Co-develop and manage budgeting strategy for various markets;
• Prepare and develop investment proposals;
• Provide financial information for development of PIMs and presentations;
• Assist in the submission of required documentation and clarification to lenders; and
• Support in the execution phase of the deals from a management and financial perspective.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced MS Excel knowledge essential (including VBA macros);
• 5 years' experience in financial modelling and project development;
• Experience in renewable energy desirable;
• Financial experience required, with a keen understanding of accounting principles; and
• Fluent in English
