Job description

Job purpose:

To provide reliable, value added and independent feedback and advice to the Board, Executive Committee and other stakeholders (i.e. regulators) over the effectiveness of risk management within the Distribution Wealth division (the Distribution Wealth division houses the company's adviser network business and consist of wealth management, employee benefits, short term insurance advice and fiduciary services).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve risk management strategies and processes within Distribution Wealth, a division of the group
• Plan, execute and manage risk analysis and assessments, both financial and operational, against set parameters
• Organise and draft appropriate risk reporting and executive summaries, internally and externally
• Advise management in identifying and quantifying risks
• Assist management to mitigate exposure to risks to be aligned with the risk appetite
• Assist management in establishing risk strategies, policies and internal protocols including effective risk management communication
• Building relationships with the respective management teams

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant financial service experience – min 3 years
• Securities and security risk experience advantageous
• Top academic achiever
• Relevant Post graduate qualification (i.e. high quality energetic CFA, actuary, CA or similar)
• Specialist knowledge of SAM and I-Lab’s implication advantageous
• Risk management qualification and experience advantageous
