    Indirect -Partner Account Manager

    Job description

    Purpose Of Role:

    The role holder is an Operational Manager responsible for the development of sales of designated products with a small number of partners of high strategic value to the business. He/she makes a significant contribution to channel's sales revenue, and may well operate on a multi-country and/ or horizontal/vertical basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To follow the latest trends and developments in own field and adapt these to apply within the organisation.
    • To define, develop and own key partner relationships and partner contact strategy.
    • To negotiate at a high level, but within well-defined limits of delegation.
    • Likely to have responsibility for the management of a direct or virtual team.
    • Have the ability to influence stakeholders (at all levels of the organisation) both internally and externally
    • Manage the partner eco system through an agreed rhythm of business weekly, monthly, quarterly
    • Provide relevant reports, documentation and escalation management as required
    • Enable the partner in relevant product / portfolio areas as agreed with the partner – this enablement requires engagement from BT locally, regionally and globally
    • Build pipeline with the partner, manage forecasting capability, engage with internal sales to align
    • Business Impact:
      • Medium-term business strategy and objectives typically guide this role, although there may be some involvement in the formulation and development of future policy.
      • Impact is primarily short to medium -term but may develop plans over the long term.
      • Assesses partner relationships and service level.
    • Authority/Decision Making:
      • Able to engage at senior management level both internally and externally to within well defined limits of delegation.

    Qualifications:

    Educated to degree level, or relevant job experience.
