Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for the overall management of multiple teams.  He/she manages all the resources required to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and retention through the development of and execution of the account’s retail customer’s key strategies. He/she is responsible to attract and retain high- performing teams. This position has responsibility for the development and execution of strategic plans, business plans, budgeting and hiring for the teams or group of accounts within the account. As a key leader in the organization, the incumbent is responsible for creating and developing an annual strategic plan.

Duties, Responsibilities and Expected Contributions

• The Sales Director will be responsible for the strategy, structure and business processes under management.
• Collaborative strategic planning with the customer and key constituents to ensure alignment on critical KPIs.
• Building effective operational structures both in the field and the corporate support office within each division to ensure capacity to achieve or exceed the business needs
• Design and implement efficient and effective business processes to ensure the highest possible output from the team
• Create frequent and relevant collaboration and communication engagements with all critical customer personnel to drive visibility and value quantification
• Cultivate new business in area of scope to drive increased revenue and profit through conceptual and strategic selling methodologies and effective negotiating
• Ensure creation and implementation of relevant objectives for all direct reports and for all personnel in the business units under management
• Ensure creation and implementation of personnel development plans for all direct reports and for all personnel in the business units under management
• Create and ensure the achievement of business unit budgets under management to include revenue growth, expense control and operating profit

Position Requirements:

Experience Required

• Tertiary education is a requirement; MBA/Graduate Degree preferred
• 10+ years of retail experience
• Experience in building and nurturing brands
• Demonstrated ability to lead large and develop high performing teams
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking

 Skills required:

• Effectively manage relationships at senior level of the customer and suppliers
• Highly effective in building and maintain customer, supplier and employee relationships to instil and maintain a high level of trust.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Above average negotiation skills
