    Field Sales Engineer (FSE)

    Job description

    Position Overview:

    National Instruments FSEs perform a technical consultant role for their customers who view them as a trusted business partner. FSEs develop strong business relationships with their customers showcasing their technical & domain expertise. You will apply your technical expertise in computer and industry technologies and NI products to help solve your customers’ technical applications.

    As an NI FSE, you will interface with engineers and scientists who use NI products in many different applications and industries. You will gain exposure to customers through a variety of interactions such as conducting sales seminars, making on-site customer visits to demonstrate products and system solutions, and attending technical conferences and seminars.

    While we are looking for fundamentally strong engineers, our expectation is that you use your ability to increase the revenue to the company. You will be the business owners for your assigned geography working with marketing and technical support teams. The overall indicator of your success would be the revenue growth.

    Mandatory Requirements:

    • A strong customer service attitude and effective interpersonal & Communication Skills
    • Prefer strong experience and technical expertise in computer-based instrumentation hardware and software
    • Strong knowledge of Basic Engineering Concepts. Passionate about Technology and interested to work with industries latest technologies
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - EEE/ECE/Instrumentation only
    • Comfortable with travel within a given territory
    • 4-5+ years of relevant work experience

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for sales results in an assigned territory and report to a sales manager
    • Acts as a technical consultant to customers and prospects for NI products and services as well as industry technologies
    • Achieve Revenue Targets/Meet Quota on a quarterly basis
    • Develops and performs product/technology demonstrations
    • Configure systems on NI’s platform to fulfil customer’ needs/ solve problems
    • Ensure customer success working with the Application Engineering team
