    Recruitment Lead


    Job description

    The role covers all areas of recruitment activities for Sub Saharan Africa operations. The primary function is to ensure all plans that deliver the overall recruitment strategy for the location are implemented timeously and with quality.

    Position Details:

    • Responsible for the full recruitment life cycle for both Silverton Vehicle Operations and Struandale Engine Plant. This is including, but not limited to, sourcing, screening, interviewing, checking references based on departmental business needs and requests.
    • Lead recruitment actions for Sub Saharan Africa in line with legislative requirements (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment /Employment Equity).
    • Support with the advertising of internal staff vacancies & the posting of open positions to online recruiting sites and newspapers, and mail job announcements to organisations/contacts by electronic & hard copy methods.
    • Identify passive and active candidates by leveraging a variety of recruitment resources such as job boards, social media, resume databases, job fairs and referrals; communicates and coordinates recruitment advertising.
    • Ensure consistency in process including establishment of interview panels, collection of forms, check and maintenance of documentation and references
    • Regularly interface with departments to promote and support the company’s overall recruitment efforts.
    • Interview applicants and complete assessments
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to supervisors regarding potential employee appointments
    • In partnership with Human Resources provide expertise and guidance via recruitment consultations and plans to address complex staffing needs, including hard-to-fill and executive level recruitments.
    • Initiate background checks requests as needed; maintain confidentiality of clients and records.
    • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, i.e. from internet online recruiting sources
    • Maintain recruitment collateral inventory and facilitates the distribution of promotional materials, including flyers, brochures and other recruitment materials

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to compose and edit written materials.
    • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of stakeholders
    • Knowledge of organization structure, staffing patterns, and job design.
    • Knowledge of on-line, electronic job application systems and processes.
    • Knowledge of recruitment advertising and marketing techniques and best practices.
    • Effective speaking and writing skills and the ability to address small and large groups

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution
    • Minimum 5 years, preferably with recruitment agency experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties
