What you’ll work on:

In this position you will be involved in all aspects of software development, including but not limited to:

• Play a crucial role on a Scrum team in terms of technology, design and mentorship
• Leading new software products that help Ipreo’s enterprise-wide strategic goals
• Estimating, designing, and developing code solutions for all application tiers
• Coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs on large-scale, complex projects
• Participating in production support including researching and fixing bugs

What we look for:

• BA or BS in Computer Science or similar degree
• 4+ years of Java application development experience
• Must have experience in Web application development
• Proven background in technology with experience in Java EE Technologies (e.g. JMS)
• Experience with XML/JSON processing (e.g. Jackson & JAXB)
• Desire and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies, and some aspects of financial business
• Experience with micro-service based architectures
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Understanding of REST-based SPAs/APIs
• Understanding of Cloud based development and deployment on AWS
• Understanding of NoSQL databases (experience with Postgres a plus)

Highly Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Unix/Linux
• Experience with Jenkins/Hudson/Teamcity
• Experience with web servers like Apache and/or Nginx
• Experience with lightweight application framework like Jetty and/or Netty
• An understanding of Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Familiar with Angular (ideally v4)
• Basic awareness of cloud orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
