CIB Technology - Graduate Application Developer / Support Analyst (Johannesburg)

This opportunity is to join the team in Johannesburg as a Graduate Application Developer / Support Analyst. The candidate will be responsible for application development and production support.

Key Responsibilities here:

• The candidate must have knowledge of application development
• Provide application support
• Maintain existing application code
• Work with business users to determine and document system requirements (business analysis)
• Sharing of code and knowledge within a team environment (prescriptive guidance, known patterns). Code reviews are essential.
• Assisting stakeholders with application testing. Define unit and integration tests for applications.
• Adhering to the firm’s IT controls and procedures

Qualifications required here:

• Object oriented programming essential (Any OO based language but C#.Net preferred)
• Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• NET programming skills (C#.Net,.Net Framework, VS.Net) preferred
• Web development (ASP.Net, JQuery and related libraries, HTML, XML over HTTP, REST Architecture) preferred.
• Relational database design exposure (MS SQL 8/12 database development knowledge preferred)
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development knowledge an advantage
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development knowledge an advantage
• Bachelor Degree in IT/Engineering or any analytical degree/diploma with strong interest in software

Experience:

• Application Design and Technical Programming skills or demonstration thereof during a final year project
• Application and Database Support
