JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary)

• Monthly, Quarterly and Annual management reporting internally and to a corporate head office against strict deadlines.
• Ensuring integrity / accuracy of financial results.
• Maintaining financial and internal control systems in compliance to audit requirements.
• Assist with compilation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Continuous improvement of all financial systems and systems of internal control.
• Control and management of all accounting areas within the business, including payables (local and foreign), receivables, general ledger, inventory and fixed assets.
• Management and control of the working capital cycle (including cash management and internal funding requirements).
• Involvement in business decision making and areas of saving (Value Adding Opportunities).
• Completion and submission of all statutory returns and reporting packs (including annual tax submissions).
• Variance Reporting.
• Financial year end preparation and liaison with and internal auditors.

Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Formal Tertiary Financial Qualification – CA (SA) / Bcom (Hons) or equivalent qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) would be considered.
• Minimum 3-5 years work experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have completed Articles / Trainee Contract
• Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Taxation and Standard Costing Systems is essential.
• Proven management skills.
• Experience on the Baan ERP system would be advantageous.
• Exceptional knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products is essential (particularly MS Excel).
