    Pharmacovigilance Manager

    Job description

    The Pharmacovigilance Manager will be part of the SEA team and will be responsible for establisingand maintainingthe local PV System in accordance with legal requirements, corporate standards and best practice within the pharmaceutical industry.

    This position will have primary responsibility for the following:

    • Contribute to all local safety aspects of clinical development programs, observational studies and Patient Data Collection Systems sponsored by the company; perform active PV and product surveillance at local level to ensure up to date benefit-risk profiles of all products marketed by the affiliates
    • She/he is accountable for performing safety tasks allocated to the SSC, the training and supervision of any non-safety staff in the Merck affiliates and regional hub(s) performing PV related tasks.
    • The tasks have to be performed to ensure full compliance with global and local regulatory requirements and company standards for safety data management and reporting, communication of product-specific safety information to achieve effective safety risk mitigation and optimize the benefit-risk profile of Merck Biopharma products.

    Requirments:

    • Medical doctor, pharmacist, bioscientist, or similar
    • Excellent in English & 1 language of the SSC
    • Experience in pharma industry (~5 years), preferably local patient safety responsible
    • Experience in people & process management
    • Knowledge of regional & local PV requirements
    • Strong intercultural & team-working skills
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, presentation, organizational skills and work under time pressure
