    New Business Development Executive

    Job description

    Role

    Uwin Iwin is a full service incentive and loyalty business, underpinned with a digital technology suite of services customizable to solve unique business requirements.

    We’re looking for someone who networks, makes connections, builds relationships, and pursues opportunities. You will lead our efforts to generate revenue with new clients by executing a disciplined new business development protocol. You will research industry segments and company profiles, follow up on opportunities, and coordinate with brand marketing for the pursuit of other targets. The ideal candidate will be focused, have strong communication skills, and the ability to think strategically.

    The purpose of this role is to develop new business relationships and opportunities for selling the Uwin Iwin consulting service. This ideal candidate should be a seasoned B2B professional with proven success selling solutions either direct to corporations or via agencies. You will utilise your experience energy in line with this fast-paced industry. The ability to build successful executive relationships with customers and prospects is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify new business opportunities with new customers or partners
    • Effectively communicate Uwin Iwin’s market proposition; accurately interpret client needs; propose suitable solutions and close deals
    • Identifying new products, solutions, services or partnerships which complement Uwin Iwin’s events & incentive travel offerings
    • Travel locally to various locations to meet with clients and partners to discuss requirements and present proposals as appropriate - although bulk of prospects are Gauteng based
    • Prepare high quality presentations and proposals for submission to clients in support of new business pitches and bid opportunities
    • Provide timely and accurate revenue forecasting and management information/ reporting on a regular basis as required
    • Update the Business Development Pipeline against targets
    • Write proposals
    • Work in collaboration with the UwinIwin specialist team members, from various departments, to provide efficient service to customers

    Knowledge and experience

    • Appropriate tertiary Qualification in business studies
    • At least 5 years of Business Development experience in the related industry as well as solutions selling
    • A strong track record of selling solutions to senior executives within medium and large corporate environments, liaising with C-suite executives such as the Managing Director, Sales Director / Manager, Marketing Manager or marketing agencies
    • Proven success at networking, setting appointments, pipeline building, negotiation, and closing sales to meet and exceed targets
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessment and discovery through high-value questions, listening skills, and collaboration with clients and prospects
    • Strongly motivated and finds ways to win by effectively owning end-to-end sales cycle
    • Ability to build trusted working relationships at various levels with prospects/clients and internally at all levels across all functions
    • Sound knowledge and sales experience in one or more of the following sectors: ITC, Financial Services, Motor, Pharmaceutical, Telco and Consumer Electronics sector – an advantage

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Microsoft Office: Excel (formulas, linking sheets); PowerPoint (create effective presentations), Word, Outlook
    • A regular and proficient LinkedIn user
    • Self starter with effective time management skills
    • Strong commercial and problem-solving, analytical and financial modeling skills; able to take on new tasks, break down challenges and resolve problems
    • Committed
