Academic Au Pair | Cornwall Hill Country Estate, Centurion | R12 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Cornwall Hill Country Estate
• Children’s Ages: Grade - 4 Boy and Gr 6 - Girl
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 13:30 – 17:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: School Collections only for Gr 4 Cornwall student. Someone who is able to provide both academic guidance and a supportive learning environment. Main focus would be on Maths, English, Natural Science, Technology and Social Sciences and Afrikaans. The tutor will conduct 2–3 sessions per week tutor is from Monday to Friday not just 2-3 sessions, including lesson planning and teaching with a key focus on Mathematics and English. Responsibilities include preparing the pupil for tests and exams, identifying and addressing learning gaps by re-teaching concepts, and supporting the development of task initiation and completion skills. The tutor will also provide regular feedback through weekly updates and detailed monthly progress reports.  The tutor must also be able to speak Afrikaans, as that is also one of her subjects. Tutor to be familiar with private school teaching systems and to be computer literate, Gr 4 work on Chrome book and Gr 6 iPad.  
• Special Requirements: Female candidate. Any teaching qualification would be highly advantageous but NOT a requirement. Minimum of 3 years’ proven teaching or tutoring experience with Grade 4 to 9 learners, either in a school environment or through an established tutoring company, with contactable references. The candidate must have solid experience teaching Mathematics and English.
• Start Date and contract term: 1 August – permanent
• Salary: R12 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
