Academic Au Pair | Woodmead | R12 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Children’s Ages: 18 years old (Grade 12) and 13 year old (Grade 8)
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: Gifted / highly intelligent child, ADD inattentive type, she is sensory seeking and has sensory sensitivities. She has difficulty with organising herself, getting started and needs time to process information. She struggles with a change of routine.
• Support Style:  Assistance in getting started and organised and needs to be hold on task.  She needs regular breaks. Talking her through and helping her to stay organised. Lisa has a mind of her own and makes it her own style. Lisa is rigid in her thinking, needs help to be flexible. Interest: Art / Crafts / Loves animals and studying new things. Strengths: Academically strong in language and maths. She is empathetic. Hard time:  Breathing techniques, focus on positive, acknowledge emotions but assist her in seeing the bigger picture / positive insights.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 14:00 – 18:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: Daughter in Grade 8 is academically strong but requires sufficient structure (homework / planning for tests and exams). Duties for the role include collection from school, Take to extra-murals, Assist with and supervise homework, Run general family errands (limited), Prepare meals for your children (lunch only). My daughter in Grade 12 is self-sufficient and does not require much support.
• Special Requirements: English and Afrikaans. Age: 24 - 35, Female, previous work experience and working with special needs preferable. Should be dependable, strong but needs to be empathetic structured with flexibility and patient.
• Start Date and contract term: April – permanent
• Salary: R12 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
