Account Manager - Animal Feed at Mayfly Agri (Pty) Ltd

• A well-established manufacturer and supplier of unmodified and modified starches, glucose, and co-generated agri-products is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Accounts Manager – Agriproducts to maximize revenue growth through the effective marketing and sales of agricultural products into the animal feed industry, combined with strong technical expertise in animal nutrition and commercial acumen.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a B. Sc. Agriculture (Animal Science/Nutrition) or equivalent qualification; An M. Sc. Agriculture specializing in Animal Science/Nutrition is advantageous
• SACNASP registration and membership with SASAS are advantageous
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Animal Nutrition within the Agricultural sector
• Must have at least 1 year of commercial or sales experience
• Knowledge of sales and marketing, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Feed formulation experience and an advanced understanding of Linear Least Cost Formulation are highly advantageous
• Must have advanced knowledge of Animal Nutrition
• Excellent relationship-building and customer engagement skills
• High levels of integrity and accountability
• Proficient computer literacy (MS Office)
• Must have a valid Code B driver’s license

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Driving profitable sales of Agriproducts, including Gluten 20 and Gluten 60.
• Developing and executing customer-specific sales strategies.
• Negotiating customer contracts, pricing agreements, and quarterly volume commitments.
• Maximizing product value while protecting market share and customer relationships.
• Monitoring sales volumes, revenue performance, and business opportunities.
• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with customers.
• Understanding customer requirements and providing tailored solutions.
• Resolving customer complaints, quality concerns, service issues, and billing queries.
• Engaging with all levels of customer management to improve service delivery and product performance.
• Providing expert advice on animal nutrition and feed formulation.
• Assisting customers with ration formulation utilizing Agriproducts.
• Interpreting least-cost formulation models to determine market value and pricing strategies.
• Supporting management with technical and market insights.
• Representing the company at AFMA technical committee meetings and industry conferences.
• Participating in industry initiatives and projects.
• Building networks with customers, nutritional consultants, traders, and suppliers.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Maintaining properly executed customer contracts and audit-ready documentation.
• Adhering to company policies and ethical business practices.
