    Account Manager - IoT Connectivity

    Role Purpose

    The Account Manager - IoT Connectivity role is based within Vodacom Business.

    The Account Manager will secure new connectivity business from both new and any allocated customer lists. The Account Manager will need to successfully manage their allocated base whilst selling additional products and services into these customers and servicing potential new customers.  The Account Manager will be required to minimise churn and maximise connections and revenues with revenue & connections growth being key performance indicators. The objective is to increase the IoT connectivity business base whilst growing new business.
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for managing specific accounts  and delivering profitable, long term business from those accounts
    • Engage and develop new customers and opportunities to grow the IoT connectivity base.
    • Work collaboratively with the virtual IoT and business teams to ensure sound support and servicing of the IoT customers.
    • Provide input to help with decisions about new propositions, product mix and services for customers.
    • Assist with special projects as required that may affect the customer base

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Experience in connectivity solution sales and relationship management with a track record of solution selling 
    • A broad understanding of the ICT , IoT Landscape and Strategic ICT enablers. 
    • A thorough understanding of converged and networking technologies and services.
    • Demonstrated understanding of important financial concepts, the IT&T environments, purchasing practices and industry specific aspects of corporate customers.

    • Mobilising Business Process and M2M / IoT
    • Managed Services

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • A 3 year commercial (B. Com/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification will be an advantage with 3 years’ experience in account management or business development.
