Account Supervisor at Mediclinic

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To supervise the daily operations within the Accounts Department to ensure that the department and company goals are achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Supervise and develop team members
• Compliance with Best Practice to achieve set goals
• Ensure billing submission and receipting processes adhere to best practices
• Ensure compliance with safekeeping of patients records to maintain confidentiality

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalent
• DESIRED EDUCATION: None 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  3-5 years experience in a supervisory role/capacity
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Understanding of private healthcare industry; Basic HR principles

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• HR policies; systems; procedures and relevant legislation (including recruitment and performance management)
• Sound financial knowledge (e.g. reconciliations; debits and credits; adjustment journals; etc.)
• Business to Business Processes
• Medical schemes policies; rules; regulations; and tariff rules and structures
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Relevant aspects of legislation for the debt collection environment (e.g. National Credit Act; Consumer Protection Act; etc.)
