• Our client is an Accounting Firm based in Europe and we are currently assisting them with further expanding their existing support team based in South Africa. They are in search of skilled and motivated intermediate accountants, seeking the challenge of gaining international exposure.
• This position is full time in office, based in Century City.

What you will do:

• Manage the complete financial administration of clients from Europe
• Ensure the administrations are compilation-ready
• Coordinate with the account manager responsible for preparing financial statements
• Preparation of annual financial statements and experience in the tools used to preparing financial statements
• Communicate directly with colleagues overseas about their client accounting
• Process client administration efficiently and proactively suggest process improvements where possible

What you will need:

• Relevant university Degree (not negotiable)
• MUST have relevant experience working in an accounting firm environment
• Great time management skills, sticking to strict deadlines
• Willing to learn new systems and relevant in-country accounting standards
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Keen interest in automation within the accounting space
• Knowledge of IFRS for small to medium sized entities
