Job Description

• We currently have the above position available at our flexible packaging printing facility and wish to invite all suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration.

Main purpose:

• To ensure the financial operation is run efficiently and accurately according to set financial principles

Key responsibilities:

• Accrued stock reconciliation
• Prepare and post monthly provisions/accrual journals.
• Checking of Creditors Reconciliations
• Loading banking details and capturing payments online
• Capturing Cash book transactions
• Preparation of Cash Book reconciliation
• Responsible for petty cash
• Preparation of monthly VAT and PAYE returns
• Preparation of annual BEE submissions, including the gathering of BEE certificates
• Assist in half and final year end Accounting and Tax Packs
• Updating of Forex schedules
• Receiving of stock into ERP system
• Capturing of monthly journals
• Assistance with Carbon Footprint submissions and reports
• Assistance with EPR submissions and report
• Other ad hoc finance functions

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• A relevant Accounting Degree or Diploma
• Knowledge of Debtors
• Knowledge of Creditors
• Knowledge of monthly accounting procedures
• Computer Literacy in MS Word and Excel to advanced level
• Full understanding of the company’s cost and accounting system would be preferred
• Understanding of the company’s Production Management system
• Working knowledge within the Flexible Packaging industry is preferred
• First class communication skills
