Accountant - Gauteng at Tharisa

Role Context

• Monthly management of accounts and dashboard
• Annual income and provisional tax
• Preparing and processing of monthly sales invoices
• Weekly cashflow/payments
• Other reporting tasks
• Generating financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring the integrity of financial data
• Managing tax compliance, preparing and filing tax returns, and advising on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities
• Preparing for audits, collaborating with auditors, and ensuring internal controls and procedures are in place to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Analyzing financial data, interpreting trends, and providing insights to support decision making by management or stakeholders
• Effectively communicating financial information to stakeholders, colleagues, and other departments within the organization needs and procedures throughout the life of mine
• Utilizing and maintaining financial software and systems to manage and process financial data efficiently
• Identifying and evaluating financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks

Requirements

Qualifications 

• Grade 12
• BCom degree
• Preferable SAIPA Accountant

Job Specific Experience

• Accounting experience, including recent experience in a similar level role within a commercial and/or public practice environment
• 3 —5 years' Work Experience 
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced); Experience in ERP systems
