About the Role

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience. This role focuses on financial reporting, reconciliations, and support for month-end close processes. You will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Maintain records related to accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in accounting or financial management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) in progress or completed.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Pastel, SAP, or similar.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment or corporate finance setting.
