    Accounts Manager(Water & Foam systems – Fire Suppression Products)

    What you will do
    Account Manager, Water & Foam Systems, is a key role of Fire Suppression Products within the sub-Saharan Africa Region and reports to the Regional Sales Leader, Fire Suppression Products, Sub-Saharan Africa. You will be based in Midrand and will be part of Sub – Saharan Africa Fire Suppression products sales team that is focused in expanding our footprint and customer base to achieve our strong growth objectives.

    How you will do it

    • Managing and developing sales through existing NBU’s and achieving new business through new customers. You will be primarily focus on the development and sales of your allocated product ranges in South Africa and outside of South Africa. As an Account Manager you will be in the field visiting the accounts, building relationships and supporting their sales activities. You’ll be technically adept supporting our customers with technical equipment selections and visit consultants and contractors to present our product range to ensure we are providing competitive technical solutions, using a pull strategy to grow our market share.
    • You must be results driven, have strong relationships with consultants, developers, contractors and key-end users whilst, explaining, demonstrating and promoting the entire Johnson Controls water and foam product portfolio resulting in these products being specified. You will be expected to know the market, its needs and market trends and customer solution driven.

    Qualifications
    What we look for
    Required

    • Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in Fire suppression products sales
    • Track record working in sprinkler/foam contracting or an OEM environment
    • CRM system knowledge
    • ASIB Competency Certification (Sprinkler Systems)
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal and written command of English and local language
    • Experience working in a global team environment and communicating effectively across multiple cultures
    • Pro-active commercial attitude, feel for technical issues, customer needs understanding
    • Adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrating the highest level of customer / client service and response
    • Goal and service oriented
    • Team player with attention to details and quality oriented
