    Actuarial Manager

    Job Description
    Actuarial Manager in Capital Management and Reinsurance team providing specialist technical support in reinsurance and capital management.

    • Supervise reinsurance reporting including month end reporting, model/accounting set up and UAT, reinsurance settlement, and communication with Corporate and Regional Office and reinsurers, etc
    • Responsible for various analysis for reinsurance risk management and compliance including counterparty risk reporting, gain/loss analysis, reinsurance accounting, treaty review and reinsurer due diligence, reinsurance support on new products, etc
    • Assist in capital management routine including quarterly capital sensitivities, capital ratio movement and analysis, inforce and new business contribution, actual vs plan capital generation, management capital reporting for HK RBC and Canadian LICAT as assigned.
    • Produce HK RBC capital planning and ORSA scenario and stress testing, perform Canadian Financial Condition Testing, analyze and implement initiatives including reinsurance and capital market solutions (both HK RBC and Canadian LICAT basis) to optimize capital position.
    • Manage and provide coaching to junior team members ad support other request, projects and tasks within actuarial department as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • University Graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines
    • Qualified actuary
    • 5 or more years of experience in life insurance industry
    • Extensive actuarial knowledge in valuation, capital and financial reporting
    • Experience in asset and liability cash flow testing and stress testing, IFRS 17, is a plus
    • Strong modelling skills, experience in Moody’s Axis is a plus
    • Ability to apply complex concepts to solve business problems
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Be able to understand big picture and provide insightful analysis for business decision
    • Can work independently with minimal supervision
    • Good planning and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Accuracy and attention to details
    • Demonstrate initiative, commitment and responsibility, able to guide junior staff
