Role & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the development of the life insurance products across the lifecycle chain (underwriting, pricing, product features, claims management).
• Understand the business needs and related gaps to inform the design of product solutions.
• Support various teams in the product design process. This includes Product Managers, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, and Legal & Compliance.
• Present data insights to management to enable data-driven decisions and to improve business processes.
• Manage actuarial-related projects that unlocks business value e.g. pricing, take-up rates etc.
• Manage the Systems Testing team that validates the implementation of product changes in the system ( 2 Direct Reports)

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

• Good progress with Actuarial Exams (CT’s and CA1 completed- Parts A1, A2, A3)
• 3 years life insurance experience
• Previous leadership experience
• Strong planning and organisational skills to balance and prioritise workload
• Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills
• Results-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Team player capable of working cross-functionally
• Willingness to extend yourself and assist other team members
• Natural ability to empathise, listen attentively and understand complex situations
• You’re comfortable with using technology, learning how to use new apps, software and tools is something you enjoy
• You are a disruptor – you like to take people into the unknown but you also have the experience and skill to be successful there
