Advanced Analytics Capability Lead
Our client is a company which believes in promotion from within while acknowledging that people who join the company at all levels bring with them experiences, knowledge, and achievements from which the company can learn and grow. Sounds like a sweet deal to us! They are currently looking for an Advanced Analytics Capability Lead to join their team in Cape Town.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the company, through its BI division, understands its own health, finds growth levers and identifies opportunities for optimisation. You will set up and lead the new Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), which will initially be focused on advanced analytics effort for the Marketing team to drive customer loyalty and insights.
To apply, you need to have a relevant IT Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred) coupled with 7+ years’ data analytics experience and at least 3 years’ in a team lead position in a fast-paced and complex business environment. You need to have previous experience in Retail / FMCG / eCommerce industries and experience in Customer Loyalty Programmes will be preferred.

It’s important that you have demonstrated success in leading an analytical team as well as proven experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business’s performance on key metrics, such as driving top-line growth.
You need to have experience working with a wide range of data, such as SAP BW, POS systems, eCommerce systems, and IOT systems, to predict key metrics for a complex business. Additionally, you need to have demonstrated experience in building and leading quantitative analyses, scenario-based analyses, and risk-mitigation analyses.
