Job Description

• The Adviser – Own Asset Insurance is responsible for managing, promoting, and advising on insurance products related to the organization’s own assets.
• This role ensures that all company-owned assets are adequately insured, risks are identified and mitigated, and insurance coverage aligns with business, regulatory, and financial requirements.
• The adviser acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and insurers/brokers.

Requirements

• Grade 12/NQF4
• Applicable degree will be an advantage
• At least 5 year’s work experience in a similar environment
• Relevant short term insurance qualifications 
• FAIS compliant 
• Financial Services/Health Industry knowledge 
• Sound understanding of the agricultural sector will be an advantage
• Computer literate
• Driver’s License and own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining business relationships with clients
• Scheduling and attending meetings with clients
• Discussing and assessing clients current and future insurance needs
• Researching insurance policies and products
• Arranging life insurance cover for clients with the insurance provider
• Servicing of all clients in line with FAIS requirements
• Representing VKB Brokers in a professional manner
