    Advisor:Financial Compliance & Reporting (Hay Level 17/D2) (Internal &External)

    Key Performance Areas

    Process Management

    • Assist in Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Consolidation in IFRS using Caseware for the statutory audit purposes to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements within the given timeframes. This includes full set for certain subsidiaries and note compilation on the consolidation set.
    • Consolidate and review all compliance reports for the Necsa Group for monthly financial reporting to the EXCO to ensure compliance to Management Reporting.
    • Consolidate and review Salient Features Quarterly Report to the Necsa Board of Directors to ensure compliance to Management Reporting and PFMA requirements.
    • Prepare in Microsoft Excel Medium Term Expenditure Committee (MTEC), Estimates of National Expenditure (ENE) financial related reports requested by National Treasury and the Department of Energy and Electricity (DEE) to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements.
    • Co-ordinate the consolidation of the Necsa Group Budget that gets incorporated to Corporate Plan to ensure Necsa complies with PFMA and regulatory requirements.
    • Advise on Value-added tax matters to Necsa departments to ensure the best possible tax options are utilised for planned projects where applicable.
    • Liaise with external auditors.

    Accounting

    • Assisting on the management of the Necsa monthly checklist for reconciliations and schedules and ensuring compliance.
    • Responsible for performing certain reconciliations and schedules on a monthly basis. All reconciling items should be resolved as soon as possible.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    Academic

    • Registered Chartered Accountant CA (SA).

    Minimum experience required

    • Two (2) years post article experience.
